Pelham Podiatry: Get Expert Foot and Ankle Treatment in Nearby White Plains
Our mobility is our freedom. So when something happens to our foot or ankle, it’s debilitating and a real cause for concern. The Center for Podiatric Care and Sports Medicine of White Plains, NY is less than 25 minutes from your doorstep. There are a few reasons why you may choose our location, rather than hoof it out to Larchmont, New Rochelle, or Mount Vernon podiatry practices.
The best podiatrists in Pelham and White Plains understand that new and more effective methods of treating foot pain and dysfunction are emerging all the time. You don’t want your recovery limited to tools and technologies a local everyday podiatrist offers. We find that more complex foot issues like plantar fasciitis heel pain require more advanced options for healing and you can trust us to provide them.
You may do just fine with a change in footwear, rest, ice, compression, night splints, relaxing foot soaks and anti-inflammatory medication. Or may have chronic heel pain that doesn’t respond to conservative treatments. Then you need The Center for Podiatric Care and Sports Medicine, which offers everything from 3-D computer orthotics scanning, shockwave therapy, cryosurgery, TENS therapy, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections, and MLS laser treatment for chronic heel pain.
Our first goal is to relieve you of the tremendous pain you’re suffering. Sometimes that means a shot of cortisone, prescription medication, draining fluid that’s causing swelling or emergency surgery. In our office, you’ll always find a sympathetic ear and professionals who truly understand your pain and concerns.
We go the extra mile to ensure an accurate diagnosis and determine the underlying cause of your pain to prevent recurring issues. We believe that range-of-motion physical therapy, strength training exercises, and eating a healthy diet are important in facilitating a full recovery.
Once your pain is under control, we look for ways to speed your recovery. We understand that you are eager to get back to work, sports, and regular activities once again. We support active recovery, but are also careful about subjecting you to an overabundance of activity too soon.
Do you have arthritis in your feet? Are you battling diabetes? Does your lupus affect your feet?
Disease can take a real toll on a person’s extremities. We can help you with everyday issues like what type of footwear to buy, how to cope with sudden onset of pain, and ways of protecting yourself from devastating complications. Arthritis and diabetes, in particular, are two of our podiatrists’ specialties.
Call (914) 607-2519 to be seen by a trauma specialist or foot surgeon immediately if your foot has become swollen, bruised, contorted, and/or very painful following a sudden injury. We treat people who have slipped and tripped, dropped heavy objects on their feet, fallen from a height, rolled an ankle or suffered a sports injury during game play. We offer a much more pleasant and peaceful environment to have your injury addressed when compared to an emergency room. Our surgeons have privileges at Beth Israel, Mount Sinai, and White Plains Hospital for cases of acute trauma.
