How We Approach Sports Medicine
Many ankle and foot conditions will respond to rest, ice, compression, elevation, anti-inflammatory medication and immobilization. After providing an accurate diagnosis, we’ll show you what to do at home to facilitate your recovery. We work with a network of physical therapists dedicated to strengthening and conditioning you back to health, which will help you avoid future complications.
Whenever possible, we offer minimally invasive treatments like soundwave treatment, laser therapy, and Platelet-Rich Plasma injections to get you back on your feet faster and more effectively.
We generally reserve surgery for worst case scenarios but when it’s indicated, our podiatric surgeons are adept at advanced procedures like the Mini-Tightrope bunion repair procedure, the Tenex procedure for Achilles tendon repair, Focused Aspiration of Scar Tissue (FAST) and Total Ankle Replacement.
